thank you for your post. i could jump in if i read your blog at that time. i guess u bought nvda 17 call feb 2011 at august 2010. pleae confirm.
instructor john, i had poor guess because there is no profit if stock reach 17 with 17 call. [but i guess your (1st or 2nd) goal target is 17?] how do u determine 4 months or 6 months or time frame? looks like 2 more weeks will expire....(pretty close). did u post any article about the time analysis in option category? thank you again. ps i feel it is uneasy holding cash after selling stocks. every minutes want to jump back into the market or do lots of useless research and price check. buying a six months option is difficult to calm down; checking the price every hour. of course, i am willing to learn option because small amount can make good profit in right method. i am still waiting bac to drop to $13.75.

Seems like you are very rudimentary toward option knowledge, and it will be very hard for me to put and teach the whole course to you through my blog, I recommend you start with some basic option trading books (I had recommend few of them in the past you can look it up). There's really no time frame analysis, we can just estimate, what we care is price action, you need to understand in the money, at the money, out of money trading strategy and how to defeat time decay and also volatility calculation...etc.It's human nature that you want to put your money into full action, but don't forget cash is also a position and you don't want to give back your profits due your urge to trading ALL THE TIME, so stop glue to your monitor and have an trading plan written down, this should help~
Absolutely not~ I won't complain with my 400% return I think the best way to avoid missing continue further profit is to learn how to take 1/2 position profit, and let the other half ride~
